Tod Lindenmuth (1885 - 1976) was originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania then became a student of Ashcan artist Robert Henri at the New York School of Art. Through Henri, Lindenmuth was exposed to urban realism, but his style was influenced by Impressionism and the folk art of Pennsylvania as well. He was one of the founders of the Provincetown Art Association, and also one of the original Provincetown Printers. Throughout Lindenmuth’s career, his oil paintings and color woodblock prints were widely exhibited, and his art became nationally recognized. He settled in St Augustine for a while and opened a gallery
at the Fazio House on Aviles Street.
