Originally from New Jersey, Peter O’Neill is a nationally acclaimed artist who creates oil paintings to depict raw human emotions. A self-taught artist, O'Neill rose to fame for his post-9/11 work "Two Minutes of Silence," a painting depicting a kneeling firefighter. His work on New York City captures the mixed emotions of daily living and extreme trauma. O'Neill owned a gallery in St. Augustine for years and featured a large body of work. He specializes in translating human emotions and scenes onto canvas and now owns a gallery in New Orleans.
