Gregory Behymer was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 7th, 1952. He painted many scenes in Brevard County: along the St. John's River, the Indian River Lagoon, as well as the marshes and lakes around Windover. His style became more tonalist, and his colors brighter as he painted the riverscapes in various types of weather, lighting conditions, and seasons.
