Charles Paul Gruppe was a Canadian-born, American painter who lived in the Netherlands for years and painted there and acted as a dealer for many Dutch artists in the U.S.  Later Gruppe moved back to the U.S. and owned a home in Manhattan.  His work is included in many public museum collections including the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Detroit Institute of Arts amongst others.  This beautiful piece is in great shape and will add beauty to any home or business.
