26 X 20 (with frame)
Livingston Roberts (1942 - 2004) was one of the first original Highwaymen and a close friend of Alfred Hair and A.E. “Beanie” Backus. Known by the other Highwaymen as “Castro”, he is one of the most skilled of the Highwaymen artists. Roberts moved away from Florida after the murder of his friend Alfred Hair, but came back years later to continue his art career. After Alfred Hair, Roberts was the first to learn the Backus way of painting and join Hair in selling his paintings door to door and on the road.
